Re-homing fees are: $50 for the Ayam Cemanis, $30 for the Crested Cream Legbar, and the Black Splash Ameruacana.

These boys are 15 weeks old, and ready to join your flock. They are socialized to people and pets, and were raised by a broody hen, and me.

It's my goal to put them into a good home. But, come and see them for yourself. The Cemanis are exceptionally beautiful. Their feathers are like glass with turquoise iridescence. They are very docile. The Black Splash Ameruacana has some white in his feathers, pea comb, beard and ear muffs, and a sweet personality. The Crested Cream Legbar is black, white and rust striped, he is also gentle.

I also have a 15 week old, Rhode Island Red/New Hampshire cross, for a $10 re-homing fee. His mom and dad live here. He's not a rare breed, but, he has the sweetest personality. And he's smart, just like his pop, the famous "Mr. Frito"!

Don't wait too long, add one of these cockerels to your flock, today.

Leave a message in my Inbox, here on BYC, for an appointment to see them.

Thank You and
God Bless :)

Hi Hen Pen :frow

There is NO such thing as "black splash" that I am aware of... so you handsome Ameraucana is simply black. :) The white in his fathers makes him pet quality and not great for anyone interested in breeding or showing.

Also... even though they were NPIP eggs... are YOU NPIP? if not... and they are on you property... it is NO longer valid.

I am sorry if I come off ugly.. I only mean to be informative.

Your birds are pretty and your descriptions are great! Mr. Black catches my eye. Looks like he has got some personality to share. :love

Good luck with finding new homes. :fl

Greetings EggSighted4Life,

I am not an authority in chicken breeds. However, the Splash Ameruacana are being sold at various hatcheries. My Ameruacana is of that variety. It is inaccurate that I call him a "Black Splash". It should be just Splash. I was told that the feathering may vary in color. When he hatched he was black and white, with white circles around his eyes. But then, as he grew his feathers changed to black. So, I describe him as a black splash. I cannot say what he will look like as an adult. But you are right, he has black with white feathering at the moment.

Here he is with his surrogate mom, Riki Tiki, the other chick is a Cemani.

As for the NPIP information, I know many people appreciate knowing the history of what they are buying. I purchased these eggs from a chicken hatchery with an NPIP certification. The NPIP, or National Poultry Improvement Plan, is a voluntary program overseen by the USDA that monitors flocks and hatcheries. It was important for me to start with chicks that were certified free of Pullorum/Typhoid. This certification doesn't guarantee that these chickens will never get sick. It just means the farm they came from was NPIP certified.

I am not a breeder, and do not participate in the NPIP program. I am just a humble chicken keeper.

I thank you kindly, for your interest and feedback. You brought up very valid issues.

God Bless :)

Thank you for your very humble and friendly reply! :hugs
It's one thing I value most about BYC. :thumbsup

Plus you pulled a fast one and shared yet another fabulous pic! :love

I am sorry for my nit picking! Honestly, that day... it was something else bugging me and I can see (and knew shortly after posting) that I was just looking for something to rag on. :smack

It's interesting (and humbling) to see that you calling that boy a black splash was an attempt at pure honesty! (ever day is a chance for me to grow into a better person) :highfive:

From your chick pic... he is still *likely* just black, according to my experience and or current understanding... Most (non melanistic) black chicks are born with white undersides (all the blacks and blues that I hatched were). Most splash chicks that I have seen are born much lighter and easy to confuse with white or lavender even. This is just conversation here, not trying to prove anything. I fully respect and appreciate that you can't truly know how he will grow out, that's so true for the most part even on one's we know basically... there are such individual things that can and do take place as they grow.

And hey, may God richly bless you! :woot :D

Update:

They say, "The best are saved for last". And it's true!

Mr. Copper and Mr. Xuxa will be staying here, as they have become wonderful roosters!

Mr. Copper is gentle, sweet and lovable, so much for the stereotyped, "aggressive" Rhode Island Red.:love

And Mr Xuxa, the Crested Cream Legbar, is our little General with the beautiful morning song!

The two are best buddies, and have earned a their place here.
At last, they are home.
