Dandelion, are your Hamburgs laying again yet? I finally got my other hen to start laying again and now the other one stopped! Unbelievable!!!

Actually, I sold the Hamburgs.

I got tired of the dreadful roo. I guess he hadn't heard the one about never bite the hand that feeds you?

Mine laid very well. I do have some of their eggs in the incubator. Should be hatching on Thursday or Friday...

Is your other hen molting?

No the other hen's not molting, but she's old, so she takes breaks periodically. It was the young hen that was puzzling me, she stopped for 2 months in the summer and wasn't molting or anything. It was probably the extreme heat this summer, but she's never done that before. So much for the "Dutch Everyday Layer"!!!

And Tofu, I'd be grabbing those cochins too if my Hamburgs would get in gear!

Last night, I got our bantam games moved into our lighted shed. Right now I have the light on continuously. Only thing is there is only one old enough to lay. But I will be working more in later. The Spitzhaubens & Fayoumis will be the next to go in.
