I just found your thread. What a cool idea. All my pens are separate for the winter to give the girls a break. Oh yeah, and DH wants to be sure my incubators are off. :(Something about not wanting to heat the barn. In the spring and summer I'll have Barnevelders, Cream Brabanters, Salmon Faverolles, and Speckled Sussex. Anyone think this thread will survive until the spring?

Thanks! I am in the process of separating them and waiting for consistent egg production.
I have hatched some of the Lakenvelders...so fertility is great on those now..

Light Brahamas are considered less common on Henderson's Chart and on the ALBC watch list. So yes, you can trade those.

We will be looking forward to them starting to lay!
