Raspy duckling?

They're about 4 weeks old now and growing rapidly! But I've realized that ones voice is seemingly more Raspy. Again, no discharge and no rattling/wheezing when held to ear level. Any ideas? They were sold as hatched so I don't know sex. They're both so very vocal, just the more dominant one has become very raspy, and I've no idea why. Any help is greatly appreciated!

Also, a few picture updates! It was finally nice enough to take them out for their first foliage experience!

After coming back in and getting a bath, this was the end result to our night!

I am far from experienced, just starting this myself! But from what I have been reading the past couple of weeks (have been doing a LOT of that) it sounds to me it's a boy

My more "dominate" one just made that noise too last night, and my 2nd pekin started quacking a few days before!!! I am very shocked I actually ended up with a boy and girl, and they are always cuddling so romantically!! I have an unknown gender rouen in addition to them and it seems to always be trying to squeeze in the middle of them trying to break up the romance lol

EDIT: I have a question for you, it has been getting nice here and I have been thinking of taking my ducklings out for the first time too!!! Was the area you took them outside at fenced in??? I am working on them an outside pen but it isn't quite ready and there is no grass at the bottom of it. I would like to let them forage but I am afraid they will too hard to gather up if just let in the wide open!! Or did you use a pool to draw them when it was time to go back in?

The area I had them in was not enclosed. I was with them the whole time though. They never strayed far, and if I moved they moved right behind me. They never went far from my side. As long as you're there to supervise them, whether your area is enclosed or not shouldn't matter, unless you have many predators around. Luckily my babies are pretty well hand tamed so getting them back in is fairly easy for me. They know when I come towards them that it's time to go in, and they're fine with it for the most part. One is a little more tenacious then the other though and will give me a harder time, but it's still pretty easy to catch them.

Thanks!! I had suspected Harley was a drake from the start because he was always bigger, but I never wanted to set it in stone because that's not always an indicator in ducks. Thinking that my Bubbles may actually be a female anyways. She's very dainty and submissive to Harley. And also hasn't had much change in her voice, though it sounds like it will be changing not too long from now. But Harley has taken a very distinct change in vocals. Almost sounds like if he/she was a human, he/she would be an old man. Lol.

My buff starting rasping around 4 weeks. My mallard started quacking this weekend just around 5 weeks.

quick question, I know this is quite an old post but I'm curious as my duckling has started to sound raspy. Does the raspy sound like he is loosing his voice??
