Last night a rat burrowed its way into our coop and bit the 3 mo old crested polish. She sustained bites on her neck and was in shock for 12 hrs. We cleaned the wound, covered it with neosporin and spray bactine. We are also giving her anti-biotic in her water, which she is drinking. She is also eating and walking(obviously no longer in shock). Upon examining the back of her neck this evening we found that there is a flap of skin that seems to be loosely attached/membrane-like. I attempted to look up anatomy and still am wondering if this is normal or not. Any and all advice is appreciated.
