Rat Proof Feeder (Treadle)

I've seen evidence of rat activity in and around my chicken run. After trying 3 types of rat traps and having no success, I'm thinking of getting a Treadle Feeder which should be 'rat proof.
It may not solve the problem, but it should reduce the rats food supply (and my bills).

Has anyone tried this feeders? Are they any good?

I've only seen the home made wooden ones work. Those work well.

I hope you will keep after those rats. Eating your feed isn't the only damage they do and they reproduce fast.
