Are Jersey Giants slow growers? I've heard they are. I'm thinking about getting a couple from Meyer Hatchery but I'm not sure :/

Jersey's can be slow growers, they reach maximum size at 2 years about. Their very docile, depending where you get them.
My cockerel (the only one that hatched from the incubator) is like 11-13 pounds now and he's turning one on March 12. I know for sure, they aren't showmanship birds.
