Just weighed my birds who are 9 weeks old now.
My buff orpington is at 1lb 9oz. My Barred rock is at 1lb 8-9oz (not solid 9).
What do you all think of this growth rate? Does it seem too slow or normal or fast? I've fed then 21% protein feed but also diluted a lot with vegetables and some scratch.
Maybe I should lower the vegetables and scratch and just have them eat their feed...but they don't seem to like it unless its wet. They go crazy for the broccoli leaves though, but i hardly see them eating the feed. Seems to prefer scratching for food than anything. Even the scratch is not popular. Its all about the veggies...maybe I spoiled them too much.
