rats and guineafowl

Was having a rat issue for a bit. I noticed after i got my guineas no rats anymore??? what do they do to rats at night? I have seen guineas on the ground at night walking around.

Do they just attack rats?

Guineas and chickens will kill and eat rats and snakes. I’ve actually seen them do it.

chicken breed are certain ones better at killing bit rats? i saw mine eating mice today lol

From my experience they all do pretty good. The smaller ones such as Easter eggers don’t do as good. My Guinea actually attacked a Large hawk that took down my biggest hen. The hawk started trying to fight back but the Guinea was to quick for it to hit. I heard the commotion and by the time I got over there the hawk had flown away and hadn’t even gotten to start eating my poor fallen hen. I love Guineas!
