Rats in Coop!!!!!!!!!!

I'm sorry if I confused everyone, lol, i kind of hijacked this thread i guess .

I wasn't the original poster, I luckily never had rats in the Duck shed/coop, it is predator/pest proof!

but when i got the ducks , they started coming for the duck food. so of course i started bringing in their food when i put them in the coop for the night, but it didn't stop them. found a couple holes in my yard, and we have a stream running through the backyard...which means i'll prob always be fighting rats but for now, it looks like they've moved on, or died out.

I have found there are quite a few hanging out in the coop. I put mouse traps (Can't find my rat ones) with tortilla or pecans wedged under the 'tab' thing so they have to work to get it. I put it out for the first time last night and found one dead in the closed part of the coop this morning with a head injury. But in case I don't have any more luck with that I will watch this thread!
