Rats...its a boy

Wah...my newest black silke is a boy. He crowed yesterday and was so proud. Bad news, we can't keep him. Good news, the animal sanctuary DD and DGD volunteer at will take him. Why do I keep picking boys?

I think I'll give up for a while and just be satisfied with what I have. How long do you think I'll last?

I have always had roosters in the spring, and pullets in the fall. So i suggest picking one out in the fall. I hatched 14 chicks this spring and got 3 girls

BUT, last fall i got 100% girls.
