Okay, good to know. The product I was referring to is heavy in NaCI (sodium chloride) or salt. Even in a base of corn meal, wheat flour and wheat germ oil I found it to not be touched by the mice/rodents that would get into my feed shed. I just thoroughly swept/hosed out my feed barn and replaced any plastic feed bins with galvanized trash cans. I can't do anything about any remaining sunflower seeds, etc. that critters will find in the grass from their "scratch" I throw them in the morning. I have pecan trees and oak trees with nuts and acorns all over my property, so for me totally removing all food sources is impossible. I just keep things as clean and tidy as I can and set traps if I see droppings.
Any better ideas are absolutely always welcome! ; -)
Edited to correct with actual ingredients list. The product I used is named either "MouseX" or "RatX". I only tried it because it is safe around dogs, but the rodents wouldn't touch it with a ten foot pole.
