Rattly hatching egg?

Hi, I've been incubating hatching eggs-one hatched on Friday, the other on Sunday. Two haven't hatched yet, though it's been a bit staggered. After seeing no pips, I took one out of the incubator and candled it, which I didn't get much info from. The air cell looked displaced though (it was kind of going on the side) I gently shook the egg (I know I shouldn't have) and it rattled. Does that mean it's bad? What should I do? Should I leave the eggs in, or remove it?

Thanks for any help! I really want them to hatch-but I get that it might not happen. (I'm still sad from the chick that hatched on Sunday passing away, and one of the eggs being rotten)

was it like a slosh or a rattle like a baby rattle? if a slosh then I'd say it's dead but do you have candling pics those would be helpful?

Yes, a sloshy sound. I don't have pics, but I could try and get some

I don't think that's a good sing usually, the sloshy-sounding ones I've had have been early/late deaths. Does it have an order? Does it look different than the others (less filled)?

If it sloshes it's dead. I'm sorry. That's a tell tale sign and it usually means the egg is close to exploding.
It's best if removed immediately.

the air cell drawing down usually means that the chick is getting ready to internally pip-
Confused as to the "rattling sound"?
Shaking the egg was definitely a bad choice, but you could try gently candling the egg. Look for movement. Could you also take a photo?
What day is it on? Do you know?

She said it was an old egg, all of her others hatched a few days ago. I'm sure it's dead.
The air cell dropping doesn't look displaced. It's still in the same place, just significantly bigger.

Sounds like the baby was close to internal pipping, that's pretty sad if it passed away-
Still, I would candle it again and make extra sure theres no movement before tossing... Then again I've never actually experienced the "sloshy" sound- so know little about it

Yes, it is pretty sad. I think what happened is that the eggs had originally been under a broody, but she left them when the other two hatched. I tried to put them in the incubator as quickly as possible, but I think it might have been too late.
