Today I noticed my little pullet, Raven, has small bubbles in her eyes. I wanted to know if this is dangerous and how to help her
1) What type of bird , age and weight (does the chicken seem or feel lighter or thinner than the others.)
She's a 4mo silkie and she weighs normal for her age
2) What is the behavior, exactly.
Bubbles in her eyes, she's acting normal
3) How long has the bird been exhibiting symptoms?
I only noticed today but I don't know how long she's been like this
4) Are other birds exhibiting the same symptoms?
nope
5) Is there any bleeding, injury, broken bones or other sign of trauma.
no
6) What happened, if anything that you know of, that may have caused the situation.
There were a couple mites in the coop this morning (I've sorted it out), I've checked them but there are none on their feathers.
7) What has the bird been eating and drinking, if at all.
Just normal Poultry gold feed, she's been let out all day in the garden as well
8) How does the poop look? Normal? Bloody? Runny? etc.
I haven't seen her poop yet
9) What has been the treatment you have administered so far?
nothing yet, I put some special poultry energy drink in the water
10 ) What is your intent as far as treatment? For example, do you want to treat completely yourself, or do you need help in stabilizing the bird til you can get to a vet?
I want to know what it is, then depending on severity I will take her to the vet
11) If you have a picture of the wound or condition, please post it. It may help.
I'll get some pics soon
12) Describe the housing/bedding in use
Straw (Dengie FreshBed) at the moment, I usually use hemp but I ran out
