I believe so, but I think the head stays darker than the body and she shouldn't get quite as dar as Rhiannon... I think, lol...As is your "mini-me"Will she get darker like a WH does? On another thread I compared a picture from Rhiannon a year ago vs now and the difference was striking. WH take 2 years to get their full pattern (Rhiannon will be 2 years old on the 24th) and I would guess that it is the same color gene in the Snowy Calls that is in the WH right???
Yes, she sure is!!!! Lovely progressive pics!!!
Eeeeeeeeeeeeee and Squeeeeeee. Thank you Tony. Yes, I did save. I now have it. What I love about the side by side is the fact that we have 2 sooper adorable birbs that are WH but diff breeds of size and both girl birds are in two different sides of the country posing at both your pairs of feets. It's so cool. The birds are spiritually joined. I love love this. Tony, you are awesome.
Wow. I love this. She is so progressive in her feathering. Gorgeous and so nature like. Science, too.
Wow! great poster! I had no idea there were so many Harlequinesq call colors! So the Aleutian is probably the closest to a silver WH. Wow! calls are so confusing... (as well as more exotic colors of runners I guess). They don't break into sub breeds so they have really elaborate color distinctions.
OK Julie.... Now I am going to see how strong your resolve is... Our ducklings will ship next Monday and probably arrive Thursday (One week from today...) We are taking the whole following week off for duckling snuggling and keeping up with normal duck kisses in the back yard... It will be a week long duck/duckling fest... You are approximately 690 miles away (11hrs, 20 min) through Spokane. We have a small house with no guest quarters at all, but if you can break free a couple days and make the trip, I will put you up (I chose this little bitty house, so that is my standard company arrangement.) We are fairly sedentary and not very exciting, but I can promise you 12 ducks and 3 'lingsEeeeeeeeeeeeee and Squeeeeeee. Thank you Tony. Yes, I did save. I now have it. No they are in vacuum sealed bags (11 lbs each) 2 in a box. I buy 44 lbs at a time (which is what is pictured here) and put them in Lowes buckets with lids. They last me about six months with 12 very spoiled ducks. If you buy 10 oz bags, you would be doing very well at $7.99, that would cost $562.50 for 44 lbs. I usually pay under $250 getting them that way. I just alternate: meal worms, car insurance, meal worms, car insurance --- every quarterHa...wisenheimer! Do you buy them in buckets like that??
