raw carrot

Can i give my hens raw carrots by chopping them into small pieces?

My chickens eat most anything vegetable or meat. Raw carrots may be kinda hard for them 2 peck pieses off so probly shred or chop small is good.

I never thought about shredding them. Instead of chopped alot less work. Great tip. Thanks

Ive been throwing a couple of the not so desirable carrots in the blender for the past few days. It sheds them into bite size pieces. Not their favorite treat (cherry) but they tend to eat it relatively quickly.

It may be coincidence but they've put out some huge eggs recently as well.
