Razor Wire?

I have suddenly had something, I haven't been able to figure out what, exactly, kill four chickens. I believe it may be a raccoon, as three of the four were just missing heads. The fourth was just gone without a trace. I reinforced the roof to my runs, wrapped smaller gauge wire around the cages, and put large rocks around the bottom. Still missing chickens with each improvement. The trap I set keeps winding up empty, bait stolen.

My partner suggested razor wire around the bottom and middle of the runs to discourage climbing, if that would be helpful. Has anyone used razor wire for predators?

I don't have pictures on my phone, and I am at work. I just want to know if anyone has used razor wire to deter predators on the outside of their runs, and how effective it was.

Probably no one, razor wire isn't as effective with things with fur. Hot wire would be more effective and cheaper.
Post pictures when you can, inside and out as many angles as possible

Yeah pictures would be good for me too, I’m having trouble getting your setup. Sounds terrible for you and scary for your girls.
Not a great fan of razor wire but please post photos as, in your shoes I would probably do anything to protect my girls

Razor wire isn't designed with small animals in mind. It's designed to be put up in a concertina pattern to dig in to skin and clothing and trap people foolish enough to try climbing over it without a chunk of carpet. It's more likely to be a danger to you than to be a major impediment to something the size of a raccoon.
