Re-fridge-a-bator in the works (pics)

Yeah, Freezer-bator doesn't roll off the tongue like frigabator does!

How will you keep the rest of the eggs, still incubating, from being too moist? Won't the higher humidity from the hatcher space in the bottom affect to whole thing?

well the smaller styrofoam models have the water in the bottom... and heating element at the top, i just enlarged it by like 100x.

but then again im not the one behind this operation....

we shall see how it goes....

Some of the folks on here keep separate incubators, with one dedicated to use as a hatcher only. They incubate the eggs in one, then move them to the hatcher for the last 3 days, because the humidity needs to be higher the last 3 days. That way, they can have staggered hatch dates in the incubator, (they mark the hatch dates on the eggs) so they can move eggs to the hatcher as the due dates arrive, without messing up the ones not yet due to hatch. So when you said "hatcher", that's what I thought you were talking about. I was wondering how you'd have higher humidity in the bottom, without having it too high for the other eggs not due to hatch yet.
Is that what you're talking about, or were you thinking something else altogether?

yeah i was talking about that wire basket in the bottom of the thing. you totally reminded me about the humidity. i do have an LG, and my friend working with me, Lexa, has another incubator so one way or the other we can get a hatcher together. Thanks for reminding me about that.
