One of my breeder Delaware hens (lovely girl) has a broken wing. I have researched how to figure 8 wrap it using vetwrap and have been doing that unsuccessfully for the last 3 days. As soon as I put her down she starts pulling at the vetwrap and by morning it is off the injured wing and the wing is dragging on the ground again where she can not walk without stepping on the feathers and thus pulling the wing joint. My next attempt may be duct tape but I am worried how to get it off when she is healed. At this point I am worried that it will not heal........... Any ideas?

I would duct tape the vet wrap in place but try to avoid getting the duct tape on her feathers because like you fear, it may be hard to get off
