I am looking for any Orange County, CA chicken keepers who need hens for laying or as pets. I had one of my hens die recently, and I am down to the 3 hens. The reason for the re-home is I will be living outside the United States for some time. I want the last 3 hens to join a bigger flock and be a lot happier in a new home. Two of the hens turned 4 years old in May (born May 2021). One hen is a Buckeye (a breed from Ohio), the second hen is a Silver Laced Wyandotte. They are named Alice and Sylvie respectively. The third hen is a Plymouth Rock named Raani (not pictured). Alice is stand-offish, typical for the breed but not impossible to touch. Sylvie is not aggressive, but does not like being touched. Raani was adopted at an older age. She is a bit skiddish and doesn't like touch. I am looking for a happy home with many more friends for them. I have feed and other equipment to give away too. Such as a large Omlet coop and 3 feet high Omlet run. Please respond to this post if you're interested and live close by. I will give them a way for FREE. I will give all my chicken care things for free too. I just ask that the home and person be a good one. We can chat more. Thank you.
