My 7 week old d'uccle cockerel was sick. I noticed him all puffed up and not moving much yesterday morning. Last night I thought for sure I would lose him. I've had him in the house in a cage under 60w red light, starter feed (he wouldn't take anything else but started eating the feed really well this morning), and probiotics and electrolytes in his water.

So tonight he's doing really well, almost back to normal and I know he wants to get back with his sisters. I don't think the stuffed pig is being very good company anymore...

So I was thinking if he still looked good in the morning if I could put him back in the coop. He didn't have any antibiotics or anything so I don't know if that would be too soon?

Any advice much appreciated!

I would say you are the number one best judge of when to put him back. If he is back to normal and energetic, then i don't see why you wouldn't put him back. Just keep an eye on him for a day or so and see how he's acting.
