Re-introducing hens with their new chicks to the flock

We had two hens hatch chicks about three weeks ago. We have kept the hens separate from each other and the other two hens and one rooster, with their chicks. They could all see each other through fences. In general, our chickens are free range during the day, in the coop at night, and we have started letting the mamma hens and babies out some during the day. There has been some squabbling between the mammas when we tried letting them out at the same time, so it's o ne at a time right now. We are at a bit of a loss as to how to properly fully re-integrate our little flock, including the new chicks. Any advice?

Just keep trying. Sometimes there's problems that eventually work out and other times no problems. I tend to let the moms fight it out unless it gets to be too much. Eventually someone ends up on top. Just watch for aggression towards the others chicks.

Thank you for the quick response and the advice! We'll keep working at it.
