(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
I had chickens as a child in my parents farm but it’s been awhile!

(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
Zero right now, but we will be getting 10 in march.

(3) What breeds do you have?
We will be getting rock barred, and Rhode Island reds.

(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
I love their movement and sounds, and general curiosity. I am hoping they will be good for my daughter as well.

(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
Wood working, gardening, hunting, cooking, baking (well my wife’s the baker)!

(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
There is my wife, our four year daughter, my self and our special needs dog Bo. I work as an equipment operator working in building street projects for the city.

Welcome aboard! I am sure you are excited to be getting back into chicken raising. I used to have a barred rock, she was very personable and a great layer.
