ready for laying?

First time seeing these 4 months olds doing this in my flower bed, dig a shallow hole in the mulch. After an hour or so, didnt see any eggs, maybe in the near future?

Yes, dustbathing is one of the daily aspects of a chickens life. Even the chicks enjoy it!

Dust bathing is normal for chickens. As they don’t like getting wet then clean themselves by bathing in dirt.
And your chickens look like they should be laying soon!

Wait til their combs darken up then I'd start gettin excited

Just dust bathing. Look as if they are ready to lay soon. The combs need to be just a dab darker then they will be ready!
