Real Newbie Question about my roo

I realize this may be a stupid question, however here it goes

My Barred Plymouth Rock started laying her eggs about 3 weeks ago...my Jersey Giant just started and I noticed that every time she goes to lay an egg...she get's real vocal and my roo...lol escorts her into the coop and sits there with her....he doesn't do it with my Plymouth Rock.....just curious as to the "why"

It appears that way....tee hee He is more intent on little Rosie girls actions and where abouts since she started laying....I can tell he really likes her alot....tee hee....Ok then so he just really really likes her then......too cute He is a Light Brahma and huge! She is a Black Jersey Giant but he is waaaay bigger and the same age. So funny to watch them interact and mature together

My roo will go in with his favorite girl and get the nest all set just so for her. Then they both sing the egg song, announcing loud and clear that she is about to lay an egg! He stays with her, keeping the other girls out of the coop until she is done. Very sweet!

He is sweet to all the girls, but Lily is for sure his favorite.
