Here's some pic's of my Real Wild Eastern Turkeys..these are not hatchery stock..

now you can see the difference between hatchery stock which most folks own(with white tipped chest feathers and white tipped tail and flank feathers, look on ebay and egg bid you will see this or they don't or wont show pictures of them "ask for close ups..")

the real wild Eastern hens are(with brownish/copper tipped chest and flank and tail feathers)

this information is for folks who want the real thing and didn't really know the difference between hatchery stock and real wilds....

Thanks for the spectacular pictures. Those are just beautiful turkeys and yes they are different from essentially all others I have seen on EBAY etc.. Curious as to mature weights of your toms and hens.

Thanks...

Pushing 24lbs on the almost 6 year old gobbler(Elmer).. two year old male(captain howdy-named for his attitude) around 20lbs on him..
the females are all under 13lbs id say, but of course they are all fat as they eat very well.. lol

Love the birds and the pens. So green!
Do you have pics of your hens nesting boxes? I'm trying to building 2 more and am curious what others look like...

Beautiful birds!

They sure look healthy and happy. I just released a wild turkey back into the wild about five minutes ago (I'm a wildlife rehabber--this tom had lead poisoning).

chickenzoo..thanks...ps..the two flight pen pic's are from last year.. but the grass is coming in nicely now every were here, you should be getting it to...

SilverPhoenix..nice work on the release, love folks that do this stuff with wildlife and give them a second chance at life.....
