Really a Barred Rock? Variability in Coloring

Hi again. Just wanted to show again the difference in feather color and barring. Here is my hen:

I’m not crazy, right? Aren’t these pretty different?

Yes they’re completely different your pullet reminds me of having a more cuckoo pattern than barred.

I don't think that the new one is a BR.

Yes they’re completely different your pullet remind someone me of having a more cuckoo pattern than barred.

Me too...I think she might just be a Cuckoo.

Kinda looks pencilled to me.....maybe a silver pencilled rock?

She has clean, yellow legs with black on the front. I just checked Privett’s website and they sell a Barred Leghorn. It will be super interesting to see what she lays once she starts!

Edited to add: Her earlobes are very red. Nothing white about them. It’s a mystery!

The pullet definitely looks different... it almost doesn't really look like barring in places.... She's a very pretty girl though.

Here is Ester’s first egg, which is still warm! It’s a very pale brown, almost cream. Maybe she’s a BR after all?
