hey everyone, my ducks have all grown up and now are spouting out babies of their own as of 28 days ago thats right today i have one hatching (after a few others had hatched weeks ago) and Hes been externally pipped since monday night at 8pm MST. and this morning he had pipped a hole and was making it bigger all morning but now that evening has hit and summer is here its getting super hot, :/ im a little worried that his membrane will dry out and onto him should i intervene? hes kinda big but im not sure if hes too big...hes not in an incubator he is in with my hens, the hole he made seems a bit dry so i peel back some of the shell and the mommas tore off some of the membrane -_- theres no bleeding and the duckling is still moving but should i bring him in or should i just wait? and how long should i wait because its like 87 degrees Fahrenheit and possibly rising :/

if i need to bring him in should i put him on a warm wash cloth under a heat lamp? (i do not have an incubator) or what can i do? if there is nothing i can do please tell me and i will let nature take its course. haha. :D

Dont worry about helping me with the above i gave him til 4pm which i posted this at 1:49pm and the duckling had not moved or made any more progress from where it was at previously and the membrane was dry so i took him inside and intervened on an external pip. The duckling is alive and his yolk was absorbed he or she now resting thanks

turns out he was stuck from the dry membrane and too big for the egg itself and was stuck in an awkward position. all is good though
