really???? roost question

so why do ALL my chickens feel the need to roost on the same board? I built them two very nice roosts.... but do they care? NOOOOOO.... it was bad enough when it was only 8 trying to cram themselves together, but now there are nine and it is just too much! Looks like I am going to be revamping the roost system... again.

Yeah, just wait until they all cram into one nest box, too.

They cram themselves close as they can to feel secure. Kinda like a chicken hug.
