Really tough but soft dog toys?

If mine just played tug with them, they might last a little while longer. However, my beagle/gsd mix gets a piece of one between his back teeth and gnaws on it until he gets it open, then proceeds to pull out any squeakers and stuffing it contains. They end up playing tug with the scraps that are left.

Mine do that too! I keep saying I need to rent my dogs out for toy testing, I dont think anyone make an indestructible toy. And its amazing at how much fluff is in one of those stuffed animals.

My boxer and beagle/aussie mix do the gnawing-----that's why I can't believe they haven't ripped one part of the Kong teddy bear-----even after one-and-a-half months! Kong also has a stuffed frog and a beaver (I think it's a beaver). I am definately going to go out and buy more.

Not much lasts around here. But our Corso - Cristo - he is a plush addict. If we can save the plush from the other dogs, Cristo just removes the eyes (harder for the toy to run away

).

His current favorite is a Pegasus Unicorn - he is a sap with it:

I wish I could find soft ones for my 3 herding dogs. I've tried all of the ones linked to include the firehose ones. My dogs will do the same as others, chew on a corner until they can start pulling strings. It's at that point I take them away because I don't want any vet bills due to obstructions.

I stick to cow bones with peanut butter smeared inside and kongs with grain-free dog cookies.
