really weird

I posted this on another site but got no response so I'm going to try this one... Ok my buff orphington went from laying dark beige eggs almost a dirty orange ( I guess thats what u would call them) to almost white-ish pink-ish pale eggs.. We"ve already got a weeks worth from her at this new color and not sure why.. Anybody out there know how this can happen?

How long has she been laying? If it is only a week then it is probably her ink jet getting primed.

I am new to chickens as well. I am sure someone with more experience can better answer you question.

It's normal for hen's eggs to change color from time to time.

shes been laying for about 3 or 4 months now....

OK thank u I wasnt sure if she was going to die or something.. its a huge change in color though... I will post a picture tomorrow...

Very frequently as a hen gets further into her egg laying cycle the color of her eggs will fade. After a cessation in laying - molt/etc. the color may initially be darker once again.
