Reason a single roo would stop crowing?

I had an adorably sweet hen named Georgetta until she started crowing and became George... I couldn't keep him because of where I live and picky neighbors. A dear friend gave him a very loving home for me!. Now...he has stopped crowing! Anyone heard of a roo (3 months old) just stop crowing? There aren't any other roo's so there isn't a dominance thing.

They will stop if they are feeling ill, oftentimes. Other than that, it's anyone's guess.
