Reasonable time for Ebayers

I sell on Ebay, I have had to get on a few people, not many. I noticed if you use the By It Now option, payment is due immediately. I just sold leftover party decorations and supplies from my daughters birthday party yesterday using Buy It Now.

I mentioned in the ad all of my Civil War dresses are AS IS. No refunds or returns, period! All payments are in PAYPAL ONLY! However I didnt give them a time frame, will do that on my next Ebay selling ad.

I already sent them the invoice at the time the auction ended and today I sent them the email to let them know I would appreciate a payment (PayPal ONLY) and if there is a problem like Ike, or paycheck coming in the mail to make their deposit in bank accounts or any reasonable reason why the delay, I would understand but give them a time limit of another seven days to pay for the items. I also let them know if I dont get ANY response from them, I will put a BAD feedback and relist the items back on Ebay. At least they are getting ten days and I think that would be generous of me to last that long. Many good Ebayers are so quick to pay before I even get the chance of sending out invoices OR they email me wanting to give them the exact amount before PayPalling me. Hats off to them!

I will give them another five days to respond at all. I have dealt with newbies before and they never gave me any problems in paying.

Any items I dont sell or the market for the items sucks, I would opt for the Buy it Now button.

Thanks for the comments!

I have 214 feedbacks on ebay and a guy left me a negative last week eventhough I told him I would send him new eggs at no cost to him. Since sellers cannot leave negative feedback anymore, buyers do as they please now more than ever before. I was tore up because I had 100% all these years, and now I don't.

So far I have 455 100% positive feedback

But I imagine they have lost a lot of business since the " seller can't leave negative feedback for a buyer" policy went into affect.

Oh, just checked my feedback - it's 1071 - 100% <g> haven't checked it in awhile.

Yeah, I hate the no bad feedback policy for sellers.

I had (before that policy) a very strange (insane) person who bought multiple items from me, didn't pay, didn't answer emails - for two weeks, so I filed nonpaying bidder on her. Now, she had already left good feedback for me right after she won the item (go figure) and I had intended NOT to leave negative for her (or any feedback at all) - until she began to threaten me for filing on her, she sent me some VERY crazy emails. Then after I won the non paying bidder thing, she sent me the money - so I sent it right back. Then she REALLY got angry, LOL I had already re-sold the items, been paid and mailed it out to someone else.

I did leave neg feedback on her - I felt it necesary to inform other sellers of how she acted so they could be warned. Plus, she simply Pi$$@d me off.

It was after Her that I started to make long winded controls and policies in my auctions. Some people are just too far out there to socialize with the general public, IMO.

Peace -
Meriah

Gee, thats bad enough! Too bad we dont get that control anymore because probably the sellers were leaving negative feedbacks like no tomorrow! UGH!

Yeap...once you won the bid either party can leave feedback. However only the BUYING party can leave a negative. NOT FAIR. I mean seriously, this is not right. Ebay seems to think that it will attract more buyers without the possibility of retaliatory feedback from sellers. They think they will get more buyers of the sort. Just not true. Just greed on their part. They got a new system in place where you leave stars and such for the seller and this places the seller higher up in their search criteria bla bla bla. Just a load of bull. Plus it seems they raise their listing prices and other fees every 6 months or so. I don't mind paying but when my fees are 50% of the item????? C'mon now. Shopping on ebay is no longer a bargain as it used to be. Wait, unless you really want that Cheeto in the shape of Kansas. Pffft.
