Got a call from the post office this afternoon that our chicks were in.
They were all alive and seem healthy.
22 including the free mystery chick.

So fun!!! I’m getting mine this week and can’t wait - I ordered a laying hen assortment so I won’t know what I get until they arrive. Glad to see everything is going well!

An update, lost one of the Minorca chicks. One seemed slow right from the start and those 3 were a bit smaller than the others.
It never did thrive, all other chicks are growing and doing good as far as I can tell.
I had hoped it would get going and take off, but after it was still that way the next day, I had my doubts about surviving. That’s why I always get 2-3 more chicks than the number I set out to.
I was initially worried about one of the New Hampshires, but it seems to have took off and can’t distinguish it from the others now.
The Amber Stars are cute as buttons, kind of wish I’d of left the Minorca chicks off the order and just got more New Hampshire or Amber Links.
