hey yall i recently added some ayam cenamis to my flock they came as a pair from a friend. Ive havent seen the rooster breeding with any of my hens and the hen that came with him her eggs are not fertalized. How long should i wait untill i go to find a different rooster? Do of these kind of roosters mate hes not as adimit about it like my other rooster was so im just a little worried i got a dud who does not like to mate. And i dont know to much about these birds besides what ive read online. I would really like to hatch some chicks this summer so im just curious. Thanks

your other rooster is probably the boss so he does not have the "right" to mate. separate the other roo and he probably will. i have not heard of a roo that doesn't like to mate;)

well... i said your other roo is probably the boss so he does not have the "right" to mate, separate the other roo and i am sure he would. i have never heard of a roo who didn't "Like" to mate.;)
I actually rehomed my other rooster the day i got this one. So hes the only roo i have. And i really dont mind him not mating with everyone i personally would only like chicks from this hen. I havent had them very long only since saturday and the one egg ive gotten from her was not yet fertalized so i was just a little worried

oh... that would explain it! he just has not settled in yet! i would give it a week or you can put him in with only her for just a bit so he only has her to focus on!
Thanks so much! Yea her and him kinda stay together all day sp i was just a bit confused. Fingers crossed they hurry up lol i was told she was broody when i forst got her so im hoping she goes broody again soon
