thats because they have a breeding pair of(I am sure they have more than a breeding pair of them) of them, you see when you have two copies of the recessive gene on one bird, then the recessive gene becomes the ONLY gene there

here is a nice tool called the Genetic Calculator for chickens(created by Mr. Henk)

select for the genotype(in this case porcelain)

http://kippenjungle.nl/kruising.html

once in the calculator click on the option "Show Examples" then select for the lavender porcelain, you have to do this for both the male and the female, the click "claculate crossing"(bottom left)

and this is how your calculator should look(if selecting lavender porcelain)

That calculator is cool but I dont know how to work it. Can you help me?

I raise American Games and have been breeding them for 40 years'. 99% of your recessive genes within a certain family are present through inbreeding and then line breeding. After a few generations your original recessive genes become dominant, thus giving you the color you desire. You usually have to pay with issues in in other areas.,{disposition, conformation etc] I LOVE YOUR KFC CAPTION! May I borrow it?

Yeah its fun to play with but whats the point?
I use it as a prediction tool....

This cockerel + this hen = (results that show possible offspring coloration) Also can determine at times based on feather coloring the probable sex of the chicks and what their grown feathering will be.
