Mine is a suet block mixed with chicken feed with wild bird mix melted and mixed and let out to cool

we do that for wild birds with left over fat and hang it from the trees. it sounds like a good idea and im sure they love it but id be careful about the amount of fat they would be getting. its good to see someone else using wild bird/ aviary mixed seed to feed their chickens treats.

mine get the bird seed, chicken scratch, greens and fruits every day of some form, they love the corn and grapes most. they also get meat scraps for added protein

Mine free range at least 6 hours every day and I skim the fat threw a coffee filter to get the the big fat pieces and then mix just a little fat into the whole thing and leave it on heat for at least an hour so the fat absorbs into the seeds
