So, I am about to build my coop and I want to set the floor and grow herbs and plants for my chickens. I usually order stuff from my Amazon account but I wanted to know if anyone knows of a good company or brand to order a variety of seeds to grow clovers, alfalfa, Wheatgrass etc.. if anyone has suggestions in which plants/grass and stuff to grow for them can you let me know? It's my first time having my own flock and I just want to provide as much as I can for them. How do you grow/feed them? Ideas of how to plant? I have seen that some people make like a block of wood with the top being like chicken wire about 4 inches high so they can only eat what grows out the top. Any home inventions out there? I love to see how everyone comes up with awesome little ways to give chickens healthy fun activities.
Thanks in advance for your help! My 8 baby Silkies thank you as well:hugs :celebrate

They live all types of herbs and it grows fast. You can take coriander seeds and leave them in water as thry will sprout. Also basil, put organic seeds in the ground and it grows fast. Use chook manure to fertilize as my tomatoes grew in 6 wks and not 3 months. Thry love tomatoes

i grow fodder with a combination of barley, black sunflower, and pea seed mix, i just get the seed in 50lb bags at my local feed store, im in phx az, i have to grow the fodder inside due to our heat

I like to compare local prices with order companies like Territorial and Johnnys. My chickens do appreciate fodder in the winter.
