I just took in these two boys. It’s and Australian spotted and a Aztec blue pearl. Their feathers seem almost look like they might have been stripped off the shaft, their are also some very then spots going on. I am not sure if this is wet feather or something else. I do know they got picked on in the flock they came from. For the next few while they are going to be in quarantine and I am going to be looking for solution to help them recover from their current situation.

I have included some pictures of the boys. A5559779-D09E-43D3-A926-3F6660458EB8.jpeg 741CD277-57E7-4DB5-A85A-6C6E54994956.jpeg 83125BDB-57B9-4F6E-90F3-407B7EBD3372.jpeg 775A950A-CF83-4EE6-AF88-E5F8FED820BE.jpeg

They sure look like they have been roughed up pretty good. I bet some good feed and extra protein will get them going in the right direction. Poultry vitamins also. Some good tub time may help too if they weren't bathing where they came from.
When they are dry how do their feathers look?

This is them “dry”.

The Aztec looks much better after a bath. Not as matted looking.

He has something going on with his face but I think that was from fighting with other drakes or poultry.

Mr Aussie looks cleaner but the feathers are still pretty roughed up. Along with something going on with his feathers around his eye but it is more just baldness than anything. He is still still the roughest. High protein are we talking like chick/ duckling level protein with rooster booster / vitamins. Or something lower just so I know what I am looking for.

Very pretty boys and they be gorgeous when you get them at their best.
Rooster booster will work or a poultry vitamin durvet makes one too.

When mine are in molt, for extra protein they get dry dog food and mealworms
The dog food I buy for my dogs is grain-free and my birds love it.
