I have two girls among 15 hens and 2 roosters that are being over mated. The one hen is somewhat disabled due to an old injury so she can’t really fight off the roosters. I didn’t want to go the saddle route but now her back is totally bald.

Anyone here make them or have recommendations for a good company or Etsy store that makes them? I’m hoping to have them in my possession as soon as reasonably possible.

I bought a few off Amazon that appeared to be working. Now however I think my girls are starting to molt. It has a detachable part to go over where the feather loss was the worst(black part) can be removed if it’s just her back.

How did your girl handle it? That one looks a bit bulky. I’m willing to go through Amazon, but was hoping to support an individual if possible. I had reached out to someone on Etsy and they never responded.

Heavier yes but my girls had no issues. They don’t even act like they are on and can still fly enough to get around

I do custom sewing. I am new to chickens. I have not seen these but have heard about them. If anyone is able to help me get information on them I would love to learn how to make them.
I just googled patterns for hen saddles and I would be happy to make one for you if you would be willing to give me feed back on it. I am interested in adding these to my list of things I sew. (I have done a wide range of sewing from my wedding dress to a motorcycle seat cover!)
