Recommended hatcheries

Could someone give me some info on where to buy laying hens (chicks) online? My flock is mostly roosters and I'm wanting some eggs...

Okay, if you want pullet chicks, not point of lay hens, there are several hatcheries with websites. There's a whole list of them in this Forum, too. An easy search.

As for hatcheries from which I personally have purchased chicks, there is Ideal Poultry, MyPetChicken, and Metzer Farms (for ducklings). There is also Meyer Poultry, Murray McMurray Poultry, Whelp Poultry and a slew more of 'em.

Or you could check the BYC "Buy-Sell-Trade" section and look for Chickens - there are sections for young chicks and older birds...

I don't know how helpful this is, but I really don't know what you're looking for, exactly. Happy hunting!

Thank you. This is all new to me so I don't know where to start or "chicken terminology" lol. I am looking to buy laying hens but I want to get them as chicks...or maybe a little older...I want to raise them for eggs. I don't know if that helps...
