I have a 7 month old chicken who seems to have suffered a stroke but is getting around pretty good now (after 6 days). However, after being separated from the other 11 she now is chased and pecked by the whole group and just finds a place to hide and won't come out.

Can this chicken be reintegrated to the group without major injury or is she doomed.

Thanks
Aaron

Your best bet is to confine her where everyone can see her but not get her, leave her like that for a week or two than let her out and see, if they go after her put her back, eventually they should leave her alone, though I'm not sure that young chickens have strokes, so if there's something really wrong with her and she acts strangely they will continue to go after her until they drive her out or kill her.

I found her on the ground outside the coop on Monday morning. She was unable to move much and had little control of her neck. Could not stand w/o falling over to left. I separated her and pampered her and now the only thing left is a weak left leg but it is getting better each day. She also has a
droopy tail.

Today I put a fence inside the larger 12x12 secure area and there was calm all day. I'll try this for a week or so and then see what happens.

Thanks for the reply.

Aaron
