Rectal issues

I have an approximately 5 week old (although it may be older -it was purchased from TSC at Easter)Plymouth Rock who is havin some rectal issues. It's very swollen and oozing. Can anyone help? What is it? What can I do?

I'm not sure about ANYTHING related to this, but if they are at the age of laying, you might want to research being egg bound?
