Recycled Castle Playhouse Coop

This is our budget coop and run. The kids no longer played in this handed-down, faded playhouse so I painted it and turned it into a fancy coop for our (quickly growing) baby chicks. I spent around $225 for the lumber, wire, tin, paint, and misc. supplies to build the run. I still need to install the nestbox (will go inside window with heart cutout) and perches.

What a creative and adorable idea! Each year, as your daughter grows you ought to take a picture of her holding a chicken by the castle. It would be a cute way to chronicle her growth.
