I love the recycled material coops I have seen on BYC. They inspired me so much I did it myself, it was very rewarding and cost effective. I would love to see more examples of recycled material coops, feeders, waterers, and anything else you use with your flock.

The local science center was tearing out and old theater from inside that had not been used in 20years. I was able to take the old lumber to build this coop. There were no 2X4's only 2x6's, 2x8's, plywood, and 1x4's so the coop is very robust.

Found some old plex being thrown out at a local art studio for my skylights and two bundles of shingles were listed for free on Craigslist.

Free 5 gallon pickle buckets for the cafe in town

I am still finishing the nesting boxes. Since this picture was taken I have added shingles and swivel doors that go over the 4" holes retrieve eggs through. Still need to paint it though. and yes that is a can of Busch Light in the background, also cost effective.
