red a small egg layer?

So my lady just started laying but her eggs are tiny should they be this way or will they change can I hatch them?is she just a small breed? Idk any info will help

she's a pullet, the eggs will get bigger. She looks like a commercial Rhode Island Red, she will be a good layer.

Thank you I was worried she was going to lay small eggs its been a min since I had one just start laying.

If she's new to laying, those are big eggs! Pullets that have just started laying typically lay eggs the size of a quarter, and the eggs get bigger as time goes on.

You are welcome. I have one at home that just won 2nd place at the local fair and I'm still waiting for eggs from her and she's 21 weeks.

Small eggs are typical of a pullet just starting to lay. Sometimes they even have shell less eggs, at least she is on the right track. Such a pretty girl too.

to answer your other questions. people generally do not try to hatch pullet eggs - because if they are small there might not be enough room for optimum chick growth.
Do you have a rooster? No rooster, no fertile eggs.
