red and black sex link chicks

I just ordered 2 RIR roosters, Delaware hens and barred rock hens for sex link chicks. Am I going to get the same high producing chickens that the hatcheries do?

I doubt you'll get quite a high production one sees from a commercial BSL or RSL, as they often come from specified parent strains, but they should easily give you 250+ eggs per year like their parent stock will.

Agree with Misha. You won't hit quite the production of the true ISA browns or other big name sex links, but your chicks should lay as well as the parent stock. Then again, you probably won't run into the health issues related to high production that many folks seem to encounter with those birds.

Thanks for the comments. Me and my kids are gonna start hatching chicks and selling them. Just wanna make sure they are gonna lay good
