My buff that i aquired 3 weeks ago or mabey 4 has 0 feathers from vent all the way to belly healthy happy eating roosting just fine no eggs an i dunno what to do with her the previous owner thought it was from the roo but she hasnt grown anything back?? Pics in the morning

Same problem here: Bald, puffy, red butt. Vent is not protruding. She's eating and pooping. She is acting "normal." I mean "typical" of a chicken. She's been like this sans the red part with bald puffy butt for 6 months?? And carries on like normal. I've red multiple threads and no one definitively finalizes the thread and very few updates. Many say "if acting normally" she's fine... If the other chickens peck, separate her. Look for mites, treat if see. Mine is not laying normally- no egg for 1.5 weeks, so now I am back worried again, but I checked yesterday and I don't feel a stuck egg, and don't see odd broken egg ooze... So?? Do we think shaking her would help? JK

CAN a chicken live happily with a bald red butt? How many days of 'no eggs' on a 1yr old Americauna is okay?

First thing to look for if no vent issues(vent gleet)is mites/lice. Check her all over vent, tail feathers, under wings, etc. Mites resemble little dark dots, lice straw colored bugs.
