Hi!
One of my chicken buddies mentioned that he had Red Bourbon Chickens...not turkeys. Has anyone heard of this breed? Is it a nickname for another breed? Any help would be great!

Never heard of it. I have heard of production reds, Rhode island reds, red sex link, red stars, redcaps.... That's all I can think of right now. Can you get a photo?

I have only ever heard of Bourbon Red Turkeys. A pic would definitely help - the folks in this forum will surely discuss!

Sounds more like a recipe... care to share?

As for a recipe, sure sounds like one to me too!

I don't have access to a picture (yet), but from I've been told they are heat/cold tolerant (which is good in Colorado weather), the hens and roosters are all red without white or black. They lay brown eggs, but can also be used for meat. HTH!
