Red breasted geese

Wow, these are beautiful!

Are they intolerent to cold?
Big problem in past was the lost of many Red Breasted to west nile. The resistance is getting better, therefore now we are .

seeing more Red Breasted geese. They are around but not in large numbers.

ROGER THIBAULT, SWANSEA, MASS. Yes these are some of my birds.

Seeing all these red breasted pics I am tempted to buy a pair off a friend of mine, his pair raised 11 goslings 2 yrs ago and 5 last year. Might have to ask him for a pair. They are so gorgeous!

Red Breasted Geese are easy to raise.I feed my pair chicken lay pellets, grain and lots of greens from the garden or lettuce .The enclosure is six foot by ten feet with a cover.
Prices vary from $1200.00 per pair to $2,000.00 per pair.DNA is needed to determine gender..Geese mature at three years old,They do not lay until they are three plus years old.Mine are pinioned, however I have a covered pen due to predators.

I use a small child's wading pool as they like to bathe daily. They are very cold hardy but suffer with heat and humidty if not provided lots of shade and cool water for drinking and bathing.Good luck with these beautiful geese.
